On the first day after the easter break there was a big applause in front of the primary school:
The new PLAYGROUND was opened up!
The plans for building up a new playgorund started already last school year. Soon it was realized that importing the material would have been to expensive.
Therefore another solution was needed: Why couldn't we build it on our own. Anyway, it was easier to make this decision than to realize it. The DBSAA needed a "dream team" consisting of Mr. Jürgen Eckert (father of two children at the school) and Mr. Werner Pohl (caretaker). With their help and the help of their supporters we managed to build up the new playground.
It took monthes to finish the work but now we have the most impressing playground throughout Addis.
It is still unbelievable what can be build at our small school!
Thanks a lot to Jürgen, Werner and the rest of the administration, further to the parent's council for thier financial support!
