The DBSAA leads to the International Baccalaureate Diploma. According to the regulation of the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) pupils have to take the following subjects:
German ( A1, i.e. mothertongue)
English (A2, i.e. close to mothertongue)
History
Maths (tought in English)
Biology
Free choice (in the last years always Business und Management; tought in English)
by choise of the pupils three of the subjects are tought on Higher Level, three on Standard Level. Either Maths or biology has to be taken as Higher Level according to the KMK-regulations.
Besides the student has the subject "Theory of knowledge /tought in English) and the so-called CAS "Creativity Action Service"). In this field the pupils are obliged to work 50 hours each. They have to find themselves an area of work and have to keep a CAS-diary to proof what they have done.
After a successfull graduation the IB Diploma opens a fullrange access to universitys worldwide. The IB Diploma is well known and as well as well regarde and a door opener even to the best universities in the world.
