In the secondary school the pupils are tought by aroun d25 teachers. There is only one class in one year. Just like in the primary school the curriculum is based on the curriculum of Thüringen. That means that after the grade 5 the pupils are divided into "Regelschule" and "Gymnasium" according to their results and educational reasons. After grade 9 as well as after grade 10 the pupils got the possibility to graduate as a Hauptschüler (grade 9) or Realschüler (grade 10). Furthermore pupils attending the classes as "Gymnasiast" are allowed to go to the IB-Diploma-Program or to any German Gymnasialer Oberstufe.
